Spilled milk

You know you're a milk producing fool if you spill a bottle of milk (2.5oz) and don't cry. Josh brought a small cooler to take milk from the freezer home, but he only could fit half of the supply in the cooler. The fridge is also stocked, so I rationalized that the spill was ok. But I hope it doesn't happen again!

Sunday full of sun!

A beautiful day with the sun shining and feel of spring in the air.

My sister, Britta, is 20 weeks pregnant with a boy!! I skyped with her Friday night. It has become Facebook official today, which means I can talk about it:-) Very excited for them!! They have an almost 2 year old daughter, Kiri. Kiri was born on my birthday and is an adorable little girl. I'm excited for them to have a son too!

Nurse Kris kept me entertained once again during Saturday night feedings. I took a picture of her with Mollie and William. We have her Sunday night yet, but then she has off for a couple days. Great nurses like her make it just a little hard to go home. Especially because I don't imagine my husband being much good for banter and conversation for the middle of the night feedings. :-)

Nurse Lisa came back at 7am. The time change altered the feeding schedule times, which meant I had to keep reminding myself of feeding times.

Nursing was stable in the 30mLs for Mollie and William. Most of the day. Mollie nursed 55mL once too. 

After the 10:30am nursing, Dr Benson stopped by. He is so great to come each day! After meeting with him I left and went to Target and ate Massad's in the the mall. I bought materials for nursing staff gifts. I have determined to buy flavored water for the nurses right now, and ordered special cookies from Rachel Britz to be delivered Tuesday. A few people have been most dear to me during this stage, and they are getting a "Bucket o' Subshine." It includes post it's, silly string, a yellow pencil cup, highlighters, Crystal light mix, Carmel Doce chocolates, peanut butter M & Ms, halos(lil oranges), lip balm, Juicy Fruit Gum, and more. I loved putting them together!

About 2:30, my mom and Gene came by for snuggles. My mom worked on stretching out Williams neck, seeing as prefers to look over his left shoulder. They then headed out. 

I gave Lisa her bucket of sunshine. She really enjoyed it. In exchange I asked for a picture of her with Mollie and William. She will be a special lady I tell them each about. 

6:00pm Josh and Caleb came. Caleb helped pick up Mollie and Will from the nursery. He's such a helpful big brother. He told Lisa he was taking them home. It really needs to be time for us to go home and truly become a family of 5! 

I think Lisa noted this and she gently gave the option of trying bottle feeding. Before she walked in, Josh had just asked if anyone had mentioned bottle feeding or if it would help get us home faster. 

While we all want me to be able to breast feed, we also want Mollie, William, and me to go home. Lisa assured me that M & W are excellent nursers and I would very likely be able to exclusively nurse in the near future. Bottle feeding could be short term solution to just get us over this hump. I appreciated her honesty, expert advice, and gentle approach. 

Left alone, Josh and I shared a few tears and I willing decided to try bottle feeding. I don't know exactly what emotion the tears came from. It might have been grief, to lose this wonderful act of love and closeness (nursing) for a little while. Or it could have been relief - permission to try something that could get me home with family sooner. Or maybe it was fear. I am giving up control and doing something I haven't done with such small babies before. 

I walked down to the nursery and told Lisa the news. She grabbed the necessary supplies. At 6:50pm we started bottle feeding with Lisa showing me the tricks and tips. 

Lisa's shift ended at 7 and she gave the report to Kristen. Kristen would be my nurse for 4 hours until Kris was back on duty at 11pm. During the report Lisa noted my dedication to nursing my babies every three hours since they were born. It was very sweet to hear her support and encouraging tone of voice for my decisions over the last two and a half weeks. Lisa is now off for the next two days and we may not see her again. It was a bittersweet moment to say goodbye, and I sincerely hope it is not the last time we see one another, just hopefully not as hospital patients. Kristen then helped finish the bottle feeding, which was successful for both Mollie and William.

Now time for sleep! It was a big day!

Friday + Saturday

Lisa's back!! I have said over and over that the nursing staff is exceptional and I've had great conversations with each nurse. However, Lisa was William's delivery nurse and we've loved her from the start. She has treated William and Mollie like her family, and treated me with so much care as well. I practically hugged her when I saw her this morning. I missed her. 

The Pediatrician met with me again this morning, asking me to consider exclusively nursing both babies. He felt it was time for them to surge ahead and felt they would surprise me and do well. I had already held him off once, and they did have a good day yesterday, so I was willing to try. However, I did make sure he would be on duty all day and if things weren't going well we'd meet to discuss modifications to the plan. They started out doing really well. Mollie even had a feeding that was nursing over 50mL. However, as the day wore on, their stamina decreased. 

In the afternoon, Josh came by for snuggles in between some errands. Then Oma stopped after work. Josh hadn't planned on bringing Caleb tonight but on the drive home from daycare he insisted on going to the hospital! How can you say no?!

Grandpa Gene got to hold both Mollie & William for awhile and then played with Caleb. Caleb was in a great mood and we had him laughing pretty hard. I love his laugh!!

Pat Jones also stopped by today. She volunteers at the hospital and so it was convenient for her to stop in and say hi. It was very sweet of her. She left shortly before Oma and Grandpa Gene left. Then it was time for the next feeding and nurse shift change. Kris is back. She's the best night nurse! I feel spoiled having Lisa and Kris in the same day. Kris is the nurse who makes me laugh. She's quick to laugh and has a great one to share. She's perfect for those night feedings. 

By midnight Mollie and William were nursing only 20mL and 11mL. They were pooped. So we rested them at the 3:30am feeding and discussed the doctor our concern as well as the fact that at their midnight weigh in it showed they had lost weight. They weren't getting enough. 

Some great success and then they started to tucker out. We'll modify the plan for tomorrow. 

Tonight I am tired. I am mentally drained. Cheering M & W on all day, willing them to eat, and giving in to a little worry that they weren't getting enough. What mommy ever wants their child to go hungry? I didn't really feel the day's toll on me until evening when I just got heavy feeling. It is also hard to wake for these night feedings. Once I'm up I'm ok, but that moment where I actually have to decide to move and wake for nursing or pumping is quite hard. I'll make sure to nap Saturday.

SATURDAY:

I talked to the pediatrician, Dr Benson, and Lisa to make the decision on how to feed the babies today. The plan is to nurse, nurse, rest (tube feeding), nurse, nurse, rest, etc. This keeps them in the practice of nursing a majority of the time, but also makes sure they get their needed calories to Continue to grow. 

My friend and co-worker, Kathy, brought breakfast and her payment was in the form of snuggles. Kathy and I have always just clicked, so it was fun to see her click with Mollie and William. My dear friend Perry and Betty surprised me with a visit as well. They were so sincerely in awe and in love with Mollie and William. 

Jason, Carrie, Avery, and Eli dropped off some snacks and a shamrock shake:) they have been so supportive and generous. 

Sadly they couldn't stay long as it was time for me to nurse. Then when I was done nursing and pumping the next visitors came. Papa and Nana, Bob and Ruthan, returned from their out of state trip today and came right over. They had missed their newest grandbabies. 

My mom dropped by briefly, having run a few errands for me. Thankful for her!

Doug, Jen, and Max Doering (+Max's girlfriend) got to meet Mollie and William. Josh came for their visit too. They got about an hour of snuggles in. M & W thoroughly enjoyed just laying in their arms looking adorable.

Bath - William was hungry but we managed to squeeze in his bath. He did really well. He acted like a frog, kicking his legs. Mollie really likes her bath. Both settled into warm blankets for their tube feeding. They rested heavily while I pumped and ate supper. 

Now for the night time nursing routine. 

2 weeks old!

Wow! Mollie and William are 2 weeks old! The time is already flying, despite staying at the hospital. The nurses are becoming family and I love the way I hear them talk to Mollie and Will - full of love. We're going to have to add some people or the entire nurse's station to our Christmas card list!:-)

Mollie- In 2 weeks she has shown that she can be feisty, as well as completely lady-like. It started in the womb and just kept on. During their official weighing after birth they put both Mollie and William on the scale. Mollie put her foot on William's neck! Little bully! ;) This weekend she pulled out her NG tube and held it high over her bassinet, showing everyone what she did. She also has the most beautiful hair. She looks into my eyes so sweetly and held hands with William today during our skin to skin time. She chugs along steadily while nursing, proving her stamina. 

William - He is sweet tempered. He nurses fast at first and then slows. He likes an intermission of 5 minutes in the middle of his 20 minute feeding. He too has pulled out his NG tube but hasn't

flaunted it. He's more subtle. He started out having the stinkiest farts, but has since lessened them considerably. He has the most forehead wrinkles when he scrunches up his face. Adorable! I say he looks like a middle aged, cardigan wearing, social studies teacher. Josh called him Benjamin Button:) but he's the cutest little old man looking baby:)!! William tends to favor looking to his left, so we try to prop him to stretch to his right. He shows that he has a little stubbornness as finds his way back to his left as much as he can. Nothing concerning at this point though. Just a bit of a stinker;)

Thursday, March 6:

This morning after the 6:00am feeding I quickly pumped and showered so I'd be ready for my friend Jill Graham to take some pictures. She offered to come to the hospital and take pics and I couldn't refuse a generous offer. I wanted some pictures capturing us in this place anyway. Prior to her coming their morning labs came back and they no longer need to be under the Bili lights. So we broke out of the nursery for our 8am photo shoot. Jill was here until our 9am skin to skin session and she captured some of that precious time too. I can't wait to see the pictures!

After she left William held Mollie's hand. Another moment that completely melted my heart. 

After this special time and pumping, I grabbed my purse and went to Tandem Bagels to get lunch and bring it to school to eat with staff. I walked in to Tandem and there was my former colleague, Kat! She looked at me and said, "What are you doing here? Do you have the day off of work?" I said, "I had my babies!" She got so excited for me, asked questions, and loved their pictures. Then a former para of mine while teaching kindergarten came up to say hi. She didn't know about the babies either. So fun to catch up and showing off the pictures of M&W. Then the owners/founders were working behind the counter, who I know as well. They were up on the news via Facebook and cheered me on and asked that I bring the babies in some time. Of course!

I got to school and was cheerfully greeted by the whole staff and joined them for lunch. It was great to see everyone and have a taste of 'normal'. Or at least the old normal.

I came to awake and hungry babies. Since they were both ready we decided to co-nurse. It was very successful. 

After nursing the babies needed to get back on monitors in the nursery. I tried to lay down for a nap, but got only about 15 minutes due to a clergy visit, a social worker, and lactation. Each was a short and helpful conversation, just chopped up my nap. 

My mom stopped by and I had her watch part of Jim Gaffigan's Mr Universe. She was laughing so hard she was crying! So fun!

At about 6:00 we had the smallest nursing amounts but they were still 22mL and 29 mL. Moving forward!

I Skyped quick with Britta with Molly's eyes open and again after the 9pm skin to skin session. Skype is so great. Britta will be coming to visit in about 2 weeks, which will be great timing:)

March 4-5

Tuesday Morning Weight Update: (Shrove Tuesday)

Mollie on Monday pm was 2435g, which is up 38grams! Current weight 5lbs 5.8oz.

William on Monday pm was 2479g, which is up 34grams! Current weight 5 lbs 7.4oz. 

The 6:30am feeding was great! Mollie nursed 26mL, and William nursed 29mL. 

Last night the third set of Taylor twins was born. So I had girl-boy; the second set was boy-boy; and finally there is a girl-girl set! Crazy!

Mollie is consistently building her volume while nursing, while William fluctuates a bit yet. The pediatrician noticed the same thing and this morning he recommended I exclusively nurse Mollie every 3 hours. We would only supplement if it isn't a successful feeding. After the doctor left the room I began to process what I heard. I suddenly couldn't wrap my head about it. How was I to drastically change the plan for Mollie but maintain the old schedule with Will. And what constitutes a 'poor' feeding in order for her to qualify for supplementing. I was willing to give it a try but needed some questions answered. 

When my nurse, Lisa, came in, we discussed the new plan, both of us having questions. I went ahead and nursed, but both Mollie and William transferred very low volumes. This really validated my concerns about how the new plan would work. I asked to talk to the pediatrician, but he was gone and a new one was on duty. That was fine, but it was over an hour before I was able to talk to her. In the interim I talked to the nursery manager for about 30 minutes about how care was done and recommendations for continued care. She apologized for having been gone for a couple weeks, but I felt there was no need for apologizes. I assured her I felt the care was exceptional and supportive. She recommended that we monitor M & W during feedings to ensure there are no issues with breathing or their heart rate. I agreed as long as I would be able to side-lie nurse in the room, so we each compromised and they would be monitored during tube feedings in the nursery.

Then the new pediatrician came and was very open to my recommendations and listened to my concerns. She stressed that the plan needed to work for both the babies and me. So she was supportive of my preference to give the plan made yesterday (Monday) another day or two to work with slight changes if progress is made. It just felt too much change at once that would not likely be successful. I feel I've been very optimistic through this stage, but this really didn't seem like we were setting Mollie up for success. So we finally got a clear plan going again. 

At the 12:30 feeding we did skin to skin in the nursery while they were being tube fed and hooked to monitors. As we were changing diapers, Lisa and I both noticed Mollie's cheek looked a bit yellow, like jaundice. So she did the temple scan and it was elevated. William's was up a bit but not as high. So they did labs and while I went home they put Mollie under the photo therapy lights (bili lights).

I pumped after skin to skin, grabbed a few things to take home, and hitched a ride with my friend Heather. She dropped me off at home and I did some laundry, organized mail, cleaned up baby presents and wrote who gave us what, pumped, etc. I meant to take a nap in my own bed, but time ran out. It did feel good to do 'mom things' at home again. I promise to nap next time:-)

Then I went to pick up Caleb from daycare. He was happy to see me there. It felt good to do that 'mom thing' again too! On the way home Caleb asked to go see Mollie and William. It was so cute. 

Josh had warned me, but tonight I recognized how similar Mollie and Mommy sound. Caleb was talking about Mollie and I mistakenly believed he said Mommy. This might be tricky for awhile. 

We got home and Caleb was thrilled Daddy was home. They really are best friends. Josh warmed up some things things for supper while Caleb and I played. Good to play with my toddler!

We ate supper, and shortly thereafter I needed to go, so I quickly packed up the final things I needed. Caleb did a slight whimper as I left. He asked for a kiss. I said, "Bye Caleb; I love you!" 

He replied in a quiet, sad voice, "Bye Mommy. I love you." Melt my heart.

Great feeding for Mollie = 37 mL, and William got 15mL. We're praying he catches up soon in his stamina. Jessica was my evening nurse and she clearly loved on M & W. They have had great care continuously!

I called my teaching partner, Peggy Morris, to check in on school kids and happenings, as well as give her an update. It was so good to connect with her and hear some 'shop talk' again. 

At 9:30 we had our skin to skin session. These have become some special times. Skin to skin is easy with one baby but there's not enough hands to easily get both babies laid on my chest, so I appreciate the nurses assistance. Not only do I love the contact with Mollie and William, but they get to have the contact with one another too.

Bedtime! 

March 5, 2014 - Ash Wednesday 

Kris was our night nurse again. She keeps those middle of the night and early morning feedings fun. We have some good laughs. We talked Jim Gaffigan and Jimmy Fallon. Two funny guys to keep me laughing. At the 6:30 feeding Kris was doing a post nursing weight on Mollie, or so she thought. She was actually holding William and was shocked when she said, "This can't be right! She drank 100mL." I replied, "You're holding William." We both lost it laughing. 

Overnight M & W had baths. Mollie's hair is amazing! 

Christina took over for the day, the same nurse from the weekend. It was great to have her again. We had to catch up on the changes with the bili lights. Both pediatricians were here this morning in the nursery and decided to put William under the lights as well. Neither M or W's numbers required the lights but we don't want them to get any higher and cause a change in their nursing. Which leads to the great news...William out ate Mollie! Both ate very well today. Daytime feedings were an average of 30mL for each. We're 60% of the way there! We're so happy to have made a surge forward. 

I also took two 45 minute naps today. I feel refreshed. This afternoon my cousin Kyle and Aunt Cheryl came to hold Mollie and William for a little bit. We gave the babes a short break from the bili light and instead they each got 100s of kisses from their Great Aunt Cheryl. She has offered her assistance once we are home...she's totally in love. 

Oma, my mom, stopped by after work to give some adoring looks as we did skin to skin time. A quick visit but some adult conversation I appreciated. Then Josh and Caleb brought me supper. Caleb walked in, said hi to me, and then asked where Mollie and Will were. I love how he is so interested in them and concerned about where they are. After we ate we were about to go to the nursery, but Christina rolled in William. Caleb knew it was Will and told Christina to go get Mollie too. Haha! Instead Caleb went down to the nursery with her and Daddy to say hi to Mollie. Christina gave Caleb  a Big Brother sticker and he tried to give it to Mollie and was concerned she had an owie. He makes me so proud of his caring heart.

We had a smaller feeding in the teens for both, but both were quite tired. And I'm not worried because it is common to have one lower feeding after some really rockstar feedings. My friend, Meghan, came to visit during this time and we had some good laughs and time catching up. She also brought a gift from the school staff. Super cute snack cups, spoons, and washcloths folded into flowers. I'm ready to see tulips!

A very positive day. Bring on the next one!

March 3, Monday

Monday Morning Weight Update: 

Mollie on Sunday pm was 2397g, which is up 49grams! Current weight 5lbs 4.5oz

William on Sunday pm was 2445g, which is up 31grams! Current weight 5 lbs 6.2oz. 

So we are essentially gaining an ounce a day. This morning Mollie has nursed 23mL and 11mL. This morning William nursed 17mL and 25mL. So we are moving forward! We will nurse every other feeding until they are getting 100% nursing, then we'll add in more feedings. On the off feedings we will just do the tube feeding while doing skin to skin. Pretty fun to snuggle:)

Nurse Lisa T is back! I feel by the end of this she may be an honorary grandmother. She knows Mollie and William so well, laughing at their expressions, talking to them as they look around, and rub their backs as they have their feedings. I'm so grateful! And she's great conversation for me:-)

Sue, from lactation, and Nurse Lisa talked to me about leaving the hospital for my mental health. I have honestly been ok staying here, but I'm sure it would help to get a little change in scenery. Everyone is so concerned about me, shocked I haven't had a meltdown. Bedrest prepared me for some of this, and God has totally provided a peace over all of this!

Great Grandpa Alms surprised us with a visit. He came to visit someone else, and stopped by to meet Mollie and William too. He prayed over them with me, ending in the Lord's Prayer. It was pretty precious.

After that feeding I wolfed down my lunch  and took a nap. I got about 2 hours! Wonderful again! The nurses take such good care of me.

About 4:30 Grandpa Gene stopped by and then Oma.

Then Josh and Caleb too! I got all my visitors in an hour:-) Caleb snuggled on my lap, and wanted me to come home with him. Josh said when they pull up to the hospital, Caleb starts calling, "Mommy! Mommy!" :-) I will go home tomorrow to spend time with him again! I hope to even pick him up from daycare!

I quickly ate supper and then had one more feeding with Nurse Lisa before she was done with her 12 hour shift. Mollie nursed 20mL and William nursed 17mL. I'm glad we ended on a good feeding and we are over a 1/3 of the way to 50mL per feeding. 

Brenda then was out interim evening nurse, before Kris would become our night nurse again, around 11pm. Brenda was wonderful and helped me do a skin to skin session during their tube feeding. She then left and I got 25 minutes of skin to skin with my babies alone. I usually like the conversation with the nurses but I really enjoyed the quiet and then humming in their ears. It is so wonderful to have them together. 

I then pumped and went to bed. As I lay in bed I watch Jimmy Fallon, at least the first half. Tina Fet was the guest and they did Lip Flip. That meant they videoed in her lips to Jimmy's face and vice versa. I was dying! It was so funny. I was thinking about posting something on Facebook when my phone buzzed. Josh had text, "Are you watching Fallon." I loved him so much right then. He knew me well enough to know I was watching, and laughing. Despite not being home together we are in sync!

I text back, "I'm dying!! I love Lip Flip! Right now, you texting me, is why you are the love of my life!" Just half hour earlier we were texting about Tuesday plans and I asked him to start a load of laundry and I would do more when hen I got home for the visit Tuesday. He text back, " I can't...I'm asleep already." Seriously, he makes me giggle!!:) 

Our night nurse, Kris, is back from last week. We were happy to see her. Our 12:30am feeding was fun. We laughed and talked while Mollie had her best feeding of 43 mL. William did well too with 17mL. Sadly in comparison he didn't get the accolades at first, but then we realized how good it was for him in general and gave love too:)

Back to sleep until the next round:)

Weekend #2 in the hospital

Saturday, March 1

It's March! Wow! It is in like a lion!

This morning I have a new, and wonderful nurse, Christina.

After talking to her and consulting with lactation we decided to try a Nipple Shield. The first feeding went well, but no better than any other. We'll continue to experiment. 

Uncle Garrett & Aunt Kayla came down from the cities to meet their newest niece and nephew. They were overwhelmed with love, and how small Mollie and William are. As they left they said, "Thanks for having twins."

Our daycare provider, Amy DeSantiago, stopped by with ice cream. I think she just needed an excuse to come and love on babies:) She has been amazing through this time. I appreciate the stability she's able to provide Caleb and the generosity of her time and talents to our family. 

Today I have been pumping larger volumes more consistently, until the 1:00 pumping. It was drastically less, which lead me to believe.... I Need a Nap!

About 2:00pm, Mollie and Willam took baths in the nursery under warmers. It was toasty. I was actually a bit too toasty. I got out their clean new outfits and put them at the foot of each bassinet. As I was wiping Mollie's bottom during her diaper change she decided to poop. Lesson learned,...put clean clothes at the head of the bassinet:) This was the first bath I got to give and they just laid there and enjoyed it.

I took a nap. Wonderful nap! Mollie and William stayed in the warm nursery after their bath and I got an uninterrupted 2 hour nap. Then I got up to pump and was still able to rest. 

My parents, Oma & Grandpa, then came to quick have some snuggles. My step dad currently is the interim pastor in Walnut Grove so he drives there Saturday afternoons. 

Josh & Caleb came with gifts for Mollie and William from Caleb. He had picked out a giraffe and bear at Cabelas. Caleb seems to be really enjoying his Daddy time!

6:30 feeding was only ok. They rebounded for the 9:30 feedings though. They nursed volumes at least back in the teens (mL).

At 7:30 Nana and Papa came to say goodbye since they will be gone for a week to Indianapolis for Papa's job. They gave lots of snuggles and Nana kisses. 

Going to do just a tube feeding at 12:30 and 3:30am to really let babies rest, and me too. I just have to get up during those times to pump and then I can go back to bed. 

The reality has set in a bit for me and we are likely here next week. I hope we're home by next weekend, but Mollie and William are still getting a majority of their food/ calories during the tube feeding. We have a lot of stamina to build up. The good thing is my supply is nearly matching their demand, therefore they are close to exclusively getting breast milk. 

This stay would be more difficult if W & M health was more complicated (heart or lungs), but since we're just focused on weight and feedings, I can help and see the end, instead of long term complications. 

I long to unite our family at home and feel like a family of 5, but this stage is necessary. It will come.

Sunday: 

They gained weight again. Mollie gained 42 grams, weighing 5 lbs 3.1 oz. William gained 18 grams, weighing 5 lbs 5.1oz.

Well the 6:30am feeding was ok but not as good as we would have hoped after letting them rest so long. So the nurses consulted with one another and the pediatrician. The new plan is to rest them, just do an NG feeding-no nursing, every other feeding. So we will weigh them, nurse, weigh again to see how much they ate, supplement through the NG until they get a total of 50mL. Then 3 hours later we would do skin to skin holding only while they are fed all 50mL through their NG tube. I felt this wasn't necessarily a step back, but a great way to propel us forward. We were just concerned that we were wearing them out. Dr Benson will continue to follow the twins, but the hospital pediatricians will be here daily to help make decisions and write orders. 

Josh's friend, Bill, and his family came to visit at about 11:30am. They have two sons, their first born, Aaron, being Caleb's age. Caleb and Josh were here too, so Caleb got to play with Aaron. They were adorable together. 

After the 12:30 feeding time I took an awesome nap. I got up to pump and do skin to skin with Mollie and Caleb at 4:00. I got a 2 hour nap. Wow! I'm really enjoying the skin to skin time! So fun!

Tonight the Oscars were on TV, so my mom and sister, Lauren, brought supper for an Oscar Party. They even brought sparkling grape juice. For supper they brought tator tot hot dish, sautéed vegetables, and a fruit platter. They also brought triscuits, cheese curds, and hummus. Lauren knows how to put on a party:)

I just did our 9:30pm skin to skin time and then pumped. Mollie and William will come back to my room for the 12:30 feeding. For now I have time to quick update the blog and then sleep for about an hour. 

Its was a really great weekend with fabulous nurses. I am really blessed. Mollie and William are growing. They are starting to be a little more alert right before the next feeding, showing they have a little more energy. Mollie is squeaking to be held, and William makes adorable faces and wrinkles up his forehead. 

I love getting to know them and falling more in love each minute.
